How to Set Up dcshot on Your Discord Server

dcshot is a voice relay service for Discord, built for MMO raid callouts: one shot caller, heard in every party voice channel at once. Everything is set up in the web dashboard, there are no chat commands to learn, and players install nothing. The whole setup takes about ten minutes.

Requirements

Setup, step by step

  1. Sign in with Discord. Go to dcshot.com and click Sign in. Use the Discord account that has Manage Server on your server.
  2. Register your Discord server. Pick your server from the list and click Add DC Shot Bot to Discord. Discord shows the permissions the main bot asks for; confirm, and your tenant is created with 500 free credits.
  3. Install the voice bots. The Getting started checklist in the dashboard walks you through inviting the relay voice bots (DC Shot 1, DC Shot 2 and so on). Each bot covers exactly one voice channel.
  4. Configure rooms. Select which voice channels dcshot should manage. These are your normal party channels; you can change the selection anytime.
  5. Activate bots. Choose how many relay bots to run this month, one per party channel, up to 16 per server. Activation is paid from your credit balance.
  6. Sync users. Import your Discord members and give officers their dashboard roles: Admin, Moderator or Member.
  7. On raid night: assign bots and mark the caller. Click Auto assign and every managed party channel gets a bot. Then mark your Main Caller in the dashboard, or straight from the in-game overlay. Party leads can be marked as Info Callers so the caller hears their reports.
  8. Talk. The caller speaks in their own channel and every party channel hears the call in real time.

What players need to do

Nothing. Players join their normal party voice channels on Discord, keep their party comms and simply hear the caller on top. No downloads, no second app, no accounts.
