Aion 2 Voice Setup: Comms for Legions at the Global Launch

Aion 2 launches globally on October 5, 2026, and the legions that hit the Abyss organized will set the pace. The game's group format makes comms interesting from day one: parties are 5 players, and the first raid runs 10 players as two groups of five that split up and reunite for the final boss. Two groups, two Discord channels, one raid lead whose calls have to land in both. That is exactly what a voice relay does: each group keeps its own channel, and the caller is heard in all of them at once.

What we know about Aion 2's group play

• Parties of 5 for dungeon content (raised from 4 for the global release), with over 200 dungeons across solo, 5-player and 10-player formats.
• 10-player raids run as two 5-player groups that split for separate objectives and come back together for the final boss.
• The Abyss returns as the Elyos versus Asmodian endgame zone, with faction PvPvE alongside instanced 4v4 and 8v8 battles.
• Legions are single-faction player organizations, and the KR launch showed how fast organized groups dominate contested content.

The comms problem, from the first raid up

When a 10-player raid splits into two wings, one shared channel means both wings hear each other's mechanics chatter; two channels mean the raid lead reaches only one wing. Discord has no native broadcast: every account, including a bot, can occupy exactly one voice channel per server. The same shape repeats larger in the Abyss, where a legion fields several parties on one objective.

How to set it up on Discord
